Crustify

iPhone & iPhone Duo · Game

The oven in your pocket.

Your phone is a wood-fired pizza oven. Stretch the dough, sauce it, top it, then close the phone and the pizza bakes. Open it to check. Pull it when it smells right.

How it plays

Close the door. Trust your nose.

  1. 1

    Build it by hand

Pull the dough round with two fingers, paint the sauce in a spiral, then scatter the cheese and toppings the ticket asks for. Every ingredient is on the counter, so choosing right is part of the game.

  2. 2

    Close the phone to bake

Slide the pizza in and shut the door. On iPhone Duo that is the hinge. On any other iPhone it is a button. The outer display becomes the oven, and the bake carries on in real time.

  3. 3

    Trust your nose

There is no countdown. Read the glow, the smoke, the crackle and the haptics, then pull it when it is right. Too early is pale, too late is charcoal.

  4. 4

    Get judged

Stars for the bake, toppings, placement and time, plus one dry line from the pizzaiolo that always tells you what to change.

On the outer display

From a ball of dough to a verdict.

Swipe on a phone or browse the full set on a larger screen.

  • Crustify: the oven in your pocket. A pizzaiolo holding a pizza beside a brick oven, with three features: stretch, sauce and top by hand, close the phone and it bakes, judged by a proud pizzaiolo.
  • The closed phone shows the inside of the oven through the door glass: the fire on its logs, a raw pizza on the stone and a doneness bar reading Raw, with the pizzaiolo giving advice.
  • The dough step: an order ticket for a Margherita, a Dough, Sauce, Cheese, Toppings and Review tab strip, and two hands pulling a ball of dough round.
  • The sauce step: a pizza painted with San Marzano sauce in a spiral, 99 percent covered, with a tray of four sauces: San Marzano, smoky BBQ, basil pesto and white sauce.
  • The cheese step: fior di latte scattered on a sauced pizza, six of six placed, with a scrolling tray of ingredients including mozzarella and parmigiano.
  • The verdict: a baked pizza on the counter, a Bellissima badge, four of five stars and the pizzaiolo’s line: Pale. The oven wanted another twenty seconds.

Built for the fold

A game that is the phone, not on it.

Made for iPhone Duo

Closed, the outer display is the front of the oven. Open, the inner display is your counter, with the order on one page and the pizza on the other. The layout reflows to fit the way you hold it.

Four sauces, a pantry of cheeses

San Marzano, white, basil pesto and smoky BBQ, each with its own moisture. A wetter sauce slows the bake. A wrong one costs you marks.

You can feel the bake

Sound, haptics, glow and smoke each tell you where the pizza is. Every cue has a visual twin, so it plays just as well with the sound off.

Plays with the sound off

Turn on bake hints and short text cues replace the sound and haptics. Controls carry VoiceOver labels, and smoke and shimmer calm down under Reduce Motion.

Questions

Before you fire it up

Do I need an iPhone Duo to play?

No. Crustify is designed for iPhone Duo, but it plays on any iPhone running iOS 27. Everything the hinge does also has an on-screen button: "Close the door" and "Open the door".

How does closing the phone bake the pizza?

On iPhone Duo, folding the phone shuts the oven door and the pizza keeps baking on the outer display. Opening it again lets you check the pizza, but every second the door is open lets heat out, so checking costs you time. On other iPhones, the on-screen door button does the same thing.

Is there a timer?

No. Baking runs in real time and has no countdown. You read the pizza from the sound, the haptics, the glow and the smoke. A doneness bar shows where it sits between raw and burnt, with the ready zone marked, but it is a meter and not a clock.

What happens if I leave the app mid-bake?

The oven waits for you. Baking pauses when the app is not active and resumes when you return, with no time lost or gained.

How is a pizza judged?

Out of five stars, half stars included, on four things: the bake, the toppings, the placement and the time. The pizzaiolo then gives one line about the biggest single loss, such as a burnt fire side or too much on top.

Does it need an internet connection or an account?

No account, and the game plays fully offline. When you are online it sends anonymous usage analytics and silent recordings of play (session replay) to help us improve it, and it never shows ads. The privacy policy has the details.
